Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to work I go!

Well, I've been working (training) for a few days now. I work for Progrexion, which is the telemarketing firm for Lexington Law. They're training the five of us to be paralegals for the law firm, so we can help people sign up for the credit repair services that they offer. It's been interesting these past few days as I've been learning more about credit scores and about the company I'm working for.

My job basically consists of calling people who have already expressed interest in repairing their credit and helping them sign up for the program we have set up to dispute negative items on their credit reports. The law firm that I'm representing is actually very well-known in the credit-repair world. If you were to google "credit repair", Lexington Law would be the first site listed.

I'm excited to get on the phones tomorrow and begin helping people get their credit scores back on track. I'm mostly excited to start making some more money, too. They basically told us today that these next two days they (and we) will figure out if this job is for us or not, so the pressure's on!

Time to work!

Well, I made it about two months without working. But the time came to give in. I guess the feeling of looking at my wallet and not seeing any money got to me. Yesterday, I went in for a group interview with a company called Progrexion. There were only three of us in the interview, and it was actually a fun experience. The night before the interview, I attended a mandatory "Career Workshop" put on by the school/church. The workshop helped to prepare us for interviews, and I guess it helped a little because they called me today and offered me the part-time position. The hours will work well with my school schedule and the company is also willing to reimburse tuition expenses!!

I don't know much about the job, yet, but after my training next week, I'm sure I'll have a better idea of what they're paying me for. I've heard many people say that the job isn't very fun, but there aren't too many jobs in Rexburg that are fun! I start my week-long training on Monday. After training is over, they will be paying on a commission-basis, so let's all cross our fingers!
